Hi there! Let me introduce myself. My name is Shauna Laubman, a 53-year-old individual navigating the challenges and opportunities of midlife every day, with a commitment to self-empowerment. My expertise lies in education, guidance, and empowerment. Alongside my role as a high school teacher, a profession deeply rooted in my family's history of educators, I am also a dedicated yoga and pilates instructor with 11 years of experience. Movement has always been integral to my identity, stemming from my lifelong passion for dance and fitness.
As a lifelong dancer and fitness enthusiast, my soul finds its brightest moments in motion. I embrace various movement modalities, with a special passion for restorative yoga. In this practice, I aim to co-create a space for healing, relaxation, renewal, and connection. Transitioning into midlife and embracing the role of a Nana, I've recognized a gap in discussions surrounding hormonal changes during this phase. This realization led to the creation of Midlife Wellness Yoga—a platform designed to support graceful aging with power and a strong voice.
Beyond my yoga endeavors, I continue to make a positive impact as a high school teacher, striving to influence the lives of my students. Some of my favorite activities include walking, hiking, gardening, and relishing the outdoors, particularly in Baja, Mexico. As a proud mother of two grown children and a Nana to a beautiful baby, motherhood remains one of my most cherished and rewarding accomplishments.
I've chosen to reside in rural Alberta with my husband, Steven, and our dog Luna. I choose to live near my children and grandchildren, who light up my world.
