This unique Midlife Self Care Workshop was designed to bring our community together, to connect in a learning environment, and nourish the mind, body and soul. Hormonal changes in women during the transition of perimenopause and menopause can often impact well-being and quality of life. Often misunderstood, it impacts women in their mid-30’s and lasts usually until their 50’s and beyond. This self care retreat will provide: education and discussion about perimenopause and menopause symptoms;  hormone balancing yoga, breath work, energy movement, Pilates, relaxation, nutrition and authentic discussion. Participants will have the opportunity to relax, renew, and realize how self care can impact their well-being during midlife.

What...

Join us for a full afternoon of Midlife Self Care and Movement.

​

During this Retreat:

We will start off the retreat with introductions and discuss goals for our time together. Taking a first look at seasons chart and how autumn/winter represent perimenopause and menopause. During the 15 minute break, tea and a light snack will be provided.

​

Discuss goals for movement and yoga:

  • Increase blood flow
  • Movement is medicine
  • Soothe nervous system

​

​Pranayama:

Introduction to breath work. Getting into a soothed nervous system state

  • Ocean breath
  • Cooling funnel breath
  • Hot flush wave

​

Movement Class:

Radical acceptance-Yin/restorative class

​

Nutrition:

Hormone health

​

Group discussion

  • Seasons of life circle
  • Sharing
  • Share action plan for wellness

​

We finish off the Retreat with a 30 minute Yoga Nidra and Sound Bath- You will be guided through a meditation practice to move into a deeper state of relaxation while being awake and aware. Giving your mind and body an extra window of deep relaxation offers powerful benefits.

Bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, bolster or other props to create your "Nidra Nest", along with a journal & pen.
